About the course

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is the professional and examining body specialising in Strategic and Financial Management. The Hampshire Business School offers the following:

Certificate in Business Accounting

The first step towards becoming a Chartered Management Accountant is the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting. This qualification is open access requiring no previous accounting knowledge or experience. You do need to be proficient in Maths and English.

The certificate is made up of 4 exams each assessed by Computer Based Assessment in College, when your tutors feel that you are ready. The certificate consists of:
  • BA1 Fundamentals of Business Economics
  • BA2 Fundamentals of Management Accounting
  • BA3 Fundamentals of Financial Accounting
  • BA4 Fundamentals of Ethics, Corporate Governance and Law
The certificate is also a recognised qualification in its own right which is valued by employers.
Payment details

All course fees are payable at the time of enrolment. Alternatively, you may be able to make payment by 3 instalments. Post dated cheques or card details must be given at time of enrolment and will be cashed automatically on 2nd November and 1st March. A 10% instalment charge on tuition is added (maximum £100). This 10% charge and the first 1/3rd must be paid at enrolment.

On Completion

You can progress onto the CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting.
