Need to improve productivity, plan for succession or increase profits?

Many things are uncertain in business but one thing is certain. If you want top level productivity, staff that contribute over the long term and good profit levels, you need to train your people.

None of us can control all the uncertainties in business, but we can control the way we invest in our businesses. That means investing in the skills of our people so we can ensure we out-compete our competitors.

Investing in your people, whether they have just joined you from school or have been with you for years makes good business sense.

To help you we run a range of apprenticeships, professional courses, legislative and vocational courses. And if a course isn’t listed on the website don’t worry. We can design a course just for you. Just ask and we’ll meet with you, agree exactly what you need and give you a quote.

The Apprenticeship Levy

In spring 2017 the way the government funds apprenticeships in England is changing. Some employers will be required to contribute to a new apprenticeship levy, and there will be changes to the funding for apprenticeship training for all employers. Find out more...

Redundancy support
If you have staff whose jobs are at risk from redundancy, we can provide training and support to help them find new employment. We can provide training workshops on CV writing, interview techniques, and job search skills, as well as advice on career and training options.

Recruitment support
Is your organisation relocating to the area? Or maybe you want to support the local economy, as part of your corporate social responsibility policy, perhaps by taking on those at risk from redundancy or currently unemployed? We can help with recruitment and training to support people back to work in roles your business needs.

Training Needs Analysis
Unsure about what training you need? We offer free training needs analysis and can help you decide what is best for your business and people.

Today’s colleges work in the real world. In many ways we run a business, with the same pressures as any other. So we know that you need value for money and haven’t got time to waste. We know you don’t want to wait for months before your staff can come on a course.

We also know that there are times when you need courses leading to qualifications and other times when learning a skill on Friday and using it at work on Monday is more important than a qualification.

So we price our courses accordingly. And if there are grants available we’ll let you know about those as well.

Giving something back
We think every business in the area should have access to the best business advice and help available.

So we are playing our part.

Three times a year we are giving local businesses like yours access to the best practical advice available on a particular business topic. We cover things like marketing, legislation, IT, HR and much more.

The sessions are short, free and fit in to the working day. The normal format is a short practical presentation followed by questions. The aim is to give you a practical insight that you can apply to your business right away.

Our track record
We’ve been delivering training for over 50 years. In that time we’ve worked with over 6000 businesses, mainly in the local area but sometimes further afield. We’ve won a few prizes for the high quality of our training but the best prize of all is when a local business gives us repeat business. That happens on a regular basis.
