The Freedom of Information Act 2000 is intended to help promote greater openess and accountability across the public sector. It gives a general right of access to all types of recorded information held by public bodies, including institutions such as Farnborough College of Technology. It also sets out exemptions from that right and places a number of obligations on the College when responding to requests.
The College's Freedom of Information Policy was approved in 2005, and will be reviewed and updated as necessary.
College Freedom of Information Policy
Farnborough College of Technology has adopted the Information Commissioner’s (ICO) Model Publication Scheme (2015). The College is committed to making information available to the public as part of its normal business. This Model Publication Scheme outlines examples of the kind of information that we would routinely make available. The College also has a Guide to Information which provides information on the types of documents available.
